Food, beer and history make for a great day!

Food, food and how bout some more food. What a great selection of different restaurants and types of German food along with all of the history behind it. Most locations we were able to buy some beer or drinks to go along with it. Been coming to Helen since I was a kid. Learned more in one afternoon than I have in 50 years. Heather did a great job of telling stories and keeping us fed and full. Fantatic way to spend an afternoon in Helen. Also, made some new friends.

An absolute must do

We visited Helen, GA for the first time and for any first timer, the German tour is an absolute must. The food was absolutely amazing (except for the potato cakes) and the host was great with the town's history, knowledge of the area and so much more. The town itself is rather small but it is packed with food and several hidden gems that the tour allowed to be discovered. The food throughout the town is very good and the tour gives you a chance to find your favorites and go back for more later. The cost of the tour may seem a little pricey on it's face but the food and the entertainment make it a bargain. I cannot recommend this food tour enough.

Amazing experience.

Heather was an amazing tour guide. She knew a lot of history about the town. We stopped at some amazing restaurants. If you're looking for some German food and beer, this for sure would be a good and fun way to see the town and learn the history.

Great tour - food, drink and fun’

The four of us had a wonderful time on our Signature Tour of Helen. We had all been to Helen before and were looking for something new to do. The food tour was perfect! Our guide, Toby, was fun, informative, accommodating and made the rainy day quite enjoyable. The restaurants and tastings were all very good. We appreciated the easy pace of the tour. In addition to the good food and drink, the history shared added much to the total experience. Leaving about all the different special events was CNN intriguing and helpful in planning our next excursion to this area. Thank you!!!

A Helen MUST DO!!!

** THIS IS A MUST DO IN HELEN!! **

I cannot say enough good things about this tour! My husband and I went to Helen for a weekend and happened to find this tour online. Heather is AMAZING and did a great job with the history of the town and the interesting facts about Helen. Let me say that the food is PHENOMENAL!! Do not eat before this tour because you will be stuffed after you finish.

We had the best time learning about the city and the German food. I feel like everyone should do this tour so you get a sampling of the BEST of Helen! Heather is so friendly, you can tell she has a passion for this tour! I highly recommend!!

Amazing German food tour

Excellent way to learn about Helen's history while sampling excellent food from several different restaurants. Walking from site to site was a welcome break between meals. The group size was perfect, and Tobie was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great way to spend a day in Helen!

We can’t can’t say enough good things about our food tour with Heather. She was very knowledgeable not only about the food we were having along the way, but also the town of Helen, Georgia itself.

This tour is showcases the flavors of this quaint little German town mixed with history of the town and a personal flare from Heather.

Great tour for all age groups, families, girls trips, couples or even business travelers. Highly recommend.

A great way to really “experience” the quaint town of Helen, Ga.

What a fantastic way to truly “experience” Helen, the German food, culture and the history of this quaint little town.

Our tour was lead by Heather, which is a local to the area and business owner. She is absolutely wonderful ! Kind, witty, patient and very knowledgeable.

We would definitely recommend with a 5 ⭐️ review. It is well worth the time spent with Heather, the food was delicious (come on an empty stomach!) and very reasonably priced.

And a side note of how very kind Heather is..

This trip was on my mothers bucket list. She is failing in health and I wanted this tour to be a part of our lifetime memories to look back on and cherish. When I went to book the tour there was only 1 space left available. I left an online message to please advise if there was a cancellation. Heather called me personally, made a spot available for my mom to make this dream come true. She was very accommodating with my mothers limited mobility and we felt very comfortable participating with a group.

Thank you Heather 💕 and to anyone tossing the idea around … DO IT !!! You won’t be disappointed.
