Piece of History

This bridge was built in the 1890's. Anything built that long ago and still standing is worth a stop.

Graffiti. Graffiti. Graffiti. People are ridiculous and don't know how to just leave something alone. The stop was nice and the water under the bridge is nice and relaxing but....graffiti. You can manage to angle the camera in a way that allows a good picture at any rate.

We stopped by the bridge on the way back to our cabin from Helen. Takes 5 minutes, and adds a little history to your visit. And there is a pretty creek underneath.

I hate that people have to put graffiti on the historic bridge. I was able to take nice pictures there.

Older bridge and very well preserved, I love it. It hurts people writing in the woods. The river is very small with fresh and clear water.

this bridge is totally wrecked by graffiti. You lose all sense of history when you step anywhere close to it.

This bridge is so unique and provides many photo opportunities. However, it has been vandalized with graffiti for a number of years. It is so sad to see it in this state. I believe it is still worth a visit. If you can see past the graffiti you will see a unique structure that you don't get to see every... More

We were so saddened by the graffiti left on this beautiful piece of history. There should be more done to highlight this area.

We knew ahead of time that this bridge was vandalized. It didn't really set in until we went there. This place is beautiful and I hate so much that its been damaged over the years by vandals. I don't even know if it would be possible to restore it and keep it that way. You can tell it's stood the... More

Once we finally arrived, we were shocked at the amount of graffiti on the bridge. What was worse, there was a family looking for their signage from a previous visit. Although I'm sure it was pristine at one time, I'm also sure it was magnificent in its original state. Lovely brook ran underneath it.
