Very well preserved ruins. Great history lesson along the bike path or a great stop along the ride around the island! Very good picture of life on the island in the past. Information signs are very informative. Great stop

This stop along Riverview Dr is a great place to get out of the car, off the bike trail and explore, good for all ages, it shows a 18th century Tabby House remains and the cemetery across the road is a sure not to miss site too! Great Photo Site as well!!

This is the original house and it's amazing that it still stands (though there has been restoration over the years). For the times, this was a mansion. Located across from the Horton burial area and a very nice park.

All it really is is the outer shell of a house. Glad we stopped by but it took all of 5 minutes to read the historical markers, walk in and around the house and get back to the car.

Jeckyll Island, as a whole, is full of history. The Horton House ruins told the story of the first half of the history before it became a playground for the rich and famous. The ruins were very humble and several tablets told the history of the home and it's inhabitants. It was interesting.

Cool ruins, amazingly preserved. Neat to go inside. It is an example of "Tabby" architecture. It's really cool for what it is, if you are near there.

Not a whole lots to see. Basically, just the shell of the house with placards of the history. Not really worth stopping for unless you are totally into local history.

Situated along the waters edge, this site offers a look back into the history of the area along with some wonderful views of the backwaters of Jekyll Island. It has very easy access and it only takes a few minutes to pull off the road and enjoy.

Horton House is just off the main road on Jekyll Island. There is a plaque and you can walk around the house, but there isn't much more to it.
