This is a wonderful old shell of a home. It would be perfect for photos and a beautiful place for a wedding.

We stopped by here and were in awe of this structure and reading about the history surrounding William Horton, his family and the remains of the tabby house.

Interesting, but not a great deal to see. If you don't have an interest in history or architecture, you would have little to appreciate here.

We saw this house just before dark so we stayed long enough to walk around the grounds and read the signs. It's an interesting stop but a tour would definitely add more historical information.

At first we didn't realize and didn't notice the building. Then made a u turn and I am so glad we did. The explanations given were very informative. The tabby house and the way it was built is amazing.

Fascinating structure with plenty to read about it's past. We also visited the cemetery across the street. Beautiful setting and a very interesting story. Take a few minutes to explore, it's worth the time.

I had never seen shells used in the building of a house until this one. Yes it is ruins but you get the feel of the house and the signs do delve deep into the history of the man who lived here and why he...More
