This is something you can do on your own. You can either bike or walk on the paths and read all the signs. I recommend it for some else to do other than the beach.

The stain glass windows in Faith Chapel are a must see! The are breathtaking. You must sit in the chapel and just look at these works of art.

The great thing about Jekyll, besides the natural beauty, is the historic district. You can take as much or as little time as you’d like. For the history buff the homes and history will be a treat. Even if history isn’t your thing walking or...More

Road tripping and someone suggested Jekyll Island. So glad we took their suggestion. We toured the historic district and shopped. Visited the Turtle rehab center. A great day on Jekyll island. Our guide on the Trolley Tour of the Historic area was very knowledgeable.

Takes you back to yesteryear. The history is great. i would rent a bike or take the trolley because even in good weather the walking can get tiring. Things are spread out.

Jekyll Island Historic District is worth a trip to Jekyll alone. Take a trolley or carriage tour to learn the history of the exclusive Jekyll Island Club, then explore it all again on foot. The district looks large on a map, but it is shady...More

Yes. There are several places to rent bikes. Island is very bike travel friendly. Would bring a bike lock if you plan on tourism while biking.

The airport choices are JAX or Savannah. They are nearly equidistant from Jekyll. There is a tiny airport in Brunswick, but it requires an expensive plane change. Charleston airport is a little less than 3.5hrs away... More
