I was invited to take part in the Christmas Dinner held every year. It was amazing. There are only so many tickets for the nights. You are served as the family would have been. Also get to tour the house. Nothing better, the atmosphere and company were delightful.

Brumby Hall is not some sugar coated antebellum home to satisfy our need to sigh over a simpler time. It illustrates perfectly the architectural necessity for the design and the work required to keep the property running efficiently. The guides are exceedingly knowledgeable and obviously are dedicated to their history. The home is lovely to be sure, but it is... More

Beautiful antebellum home, built in 1851, and spared by Sherman, either because of West Point classmate connections, or simply because it suited as a hospital, depending on which story you hear. Used for weddings and other social events held via the adjacent Hilton Conference Center, it is sometimes opened to the public, and well worth seeking out for a visit.... More

One of the oldest houses in Marietta dating to 1851 and was the home of Colonel Arnoldus Brumby who was the first president of the Georgia Military Institute (GMI) that sat adjacent to the house. In 1864 Sherman burned the Military Institute to the ground but spared the house as a courtesy to Col. Brumby because he was a fellow... More

I went to Brumby Hall during the 2015 Marietta Pilgrimage. The place was filled with dedicated volunteers who knew a lot of the history of this cool building. There were several old south pictures and the furniture was of the period, but not directly from Brumby Hall. The place was decorated for the holidays and there were real cotton balls... More

Park in the Hilton parking lot and its on the north end of the parking lot. Bring a cup of joe with you or a mint julep and sit on one of the 4 large rockers on the front porch. You will almost feel like you are a rich planter from the 1850, can't see the traffic, but sadly you... More

I attended a wedding last weekend that was held at this venue. Very pretty/old house with lots of charm....the gardens are manicured really well so everything turned out nicely. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to have an outdoor wedding.

These lovely gardens in a historic setting were perfect for outdoor photos of our daughter's wedding party. I only wish I'd had more time for a leisurely stroll through all of the gardens. On the grounds of the Marietta Hilton Conference Center--if you stay there, make sure you visit the gardens.
