There's free parking nearby so this would be a great starting point for your intro to local history, the Civil War, nearby Cemeteries and culture. I only gave it 4 stars because it needs a little more upkeep and maintenance.

We stopped by here on a recent vacation. It had actually been moved next door into the Kennesaw house so that renovations could be made. The staff next door were super helpful, cheery, and informative. I would definitely go back, especially to see the original...More

It's currently being renovated. I've been there when this building was open and today when it was moved to the history center next door. The staff is wonderful. And the brochures give you many great ideas for things to do in the area. Nice bathroom...More

The staff is helpful and it's fun to realize that you are in the spot where the Great Locomotive Chase began. It's very close to Marietta Square and all the shops and museums in the square area. This is good because the parking is free...More

I love Marietta and the rich history one can see when visiting here! The visitor's center was open when I visited and the staff was friendly.

Friendly staff, place to sit and rest. Restrooms, postcards, located inside old train depot. Plenty of brochures.

This unique and quaint little Visitor's Center sits in the heart of Marietta square. Had the sweetest and most helpful staff. Loved it!

This is always a good stop to get information, especially if new to the area. The helpful staff can answer questions and there are plenty of free brochures.
