We attend free museum Sunday on February 5th I had my whole family kids from 16 to the age 2 all the people who worked in the museum, where very knowledgeable and kept the kid friendly so they could understand and retain the information. Thanks to all who take their own time to provide us with this great information.

Awesome Day for volunteers and visitors! Our museum loves to teach all ages about the Coastal Georgia settlers and their revolutionary spirits. Volunteers dress in period clothes and cooked stew in our colonial kitchen. Thanks to all that make us the best museum in Coastal Georgia! More

We arrived at the Midway museum and were greeted by Kitty who outlined that our guided trip around the house would be conducted by Diane the head curator. We toured the house and were amazed with her knowledge of the house, its previous owners, the history of the area and the influence this area had on the overall USA history.... More

I grew up in Georgia and I am well aware of the historic places to be found on the coast, but this place took me by surprise! Nice place to visit to put our great state into perspective.

We enjoyed the beautiful Midway History Museum and the historic cemetary across the street. The historic Congregational Church dates back to 1792. Our granddaughter was married on the steps of the museum. Hanging moss in the trees.

We stopped here on a whim as we traveled from Brunswick to Savannah. We had a very enjoyable and informative tour with an engaging docent. She shared many interesting stories and anecdotes and we left much better informed about local history than when we arrived! The historical artifacts are very impressive especially for a small museum in a small town.... More

A hidden gem. If you are a history fan, don't miss this opportunity to learn more about 3 signers of the Declaration of Independence...and much more. The tour guide was excellent, she loves her job!

Midway seems like a small, unassuming town, that you could pass through - or walk around in and think you pretty much know everything there is to know about it. Take the tour! Seriously! Kitty is so knowledgeable about the history and people of Midway that you'll discover more than you thought possible. She made the tour interesting and spun... More

After passing this place several times while visiting our daughter who recently moved to Midway, GA we decided to stop and check it out. What a marvelous surprise as we began to step back in time to colonial life and times. This magic was performed by our guide who brought the early history of Georgia to life with her stories....
