My husband and I had heard of this park for years. Living in Florida it was on our Tn."to do" list. Actually seeing this area was better than any description we had read. It is if you could see forever...just breathtaking and so very quiet...More

My husband and my two 11 year old boys and our dog spent a nice day here hiking in October. You have to drive up a mountain to get there from Trenton, Ga. They were having some kind of Fall Festival so that made it...More

We went on a very busy weekend and all walk-in & backcountry sites were full, so we were glad we had made reservations. The backcountry sites were well maintained, but some were not clearly marked. We stayed in site 4 the first night. It was...More

When we got to the park it was raining but we decided to go hiking to the waterfalls anyway. We we're so glad we did, as we practically had the place to ourselves! Despite raining off and on, we had a great time exploring. We...More

Great hiking, beautiful views, waterfalls are very pretty, Hike the rim trail and go down to the bottom at Sutton’s Gulch and hike up to the waterfall... typical “state Park” accommodations though can’t promise the beds will be too soft but it’s beautiful country.

Great campground, would highly recommend the West Rim campground if you are tent or hammock camping. The sites are much more private compared to the East campground. All camping is non site specific, so you are guaranteed a spot if you reserve online or via...More

Beautiful state park with lots of hiking places. Dog friendly but if your dog has a problem with "grated stairs"(metal) then don't take them there to hike. Overlook, Waterfalls and Meadowlands trails are all good trails to hike and are very well maintained. Just be...More

Georgia does a great job maintaining this park and trails. I only went to the park for the day for hiking. The trails are well marked and nicely kept in shape. Every level of trail from tourists stop, beginner or to advanced. When you pay...More

This is one of the most well kept parks I've been to. Camping was fantastic, trails were fantastic. Everything was fantastic. Definitely is worth a visit.
