Christ Church is open from 2:00-5:00 PM except for Monday's. We stopped on Tuesday where we were greeted by "Frankie" a volunteer. She is wonderful with her history of the Church. She explains the how the church began, the adjacent cemetery and does all this with a bit of humor thrown in. John Wesley was an original minister here and... More

We spent maybe an hour here, looking at the exterior of the church and wandering through the cemetery. Very well maintained and beautiful grounds. A nice, peaceful stop for us at the end of a busy day. NOTE: I believe we saw sings that it was closed Mondays for maintenance and grounds keeping so you may want to double check... More

I am used to wandering the cemetery when the azaleas are in bloom but since this was the beginning of February, the camellias were in bloom instead and were simply breathtaking.

Have not been to St. Simons for years. We love the history and Christ Church is such an amazing place for peace and quiet. Many graves are of famous people from the Island.

We stop here whenever we're on the Island. Its peaceful to sit inside for a few minutes, ask questions of the docent, go outside to visit Eugenia Price grave site.

A beautiful church that should not be missed. The heart pine wood walls, floors, beams, the Tiffany and other stained glass windows, and the simple features of the altar make this a special experience.

Beautiful church built by Anson Phelps Dodge. Interior is all tongue and groove heart pine built by shipwrights. Surrounded by historic old cemetery. Very picturesque. Built on location where John Wesley preached to settlers and natives during his time at Frederica. A must see.
