Great rail to trail

Very nice for walking and cycling. I like Hiram and west as there are fewer cross streets although it's also more remote with fewer facilities.

I've lived in Cobb County for a number of years but only recently started walking the Silver Comet Trail on a regular basis. I love that there are multiple entrances near my house. I need variety! We normally use either the Concord Road entrance which gives us the option to either go left or right or we also have entered... More

Great way to enjoy the outdoors. You can do anything on this paved trail. (bike, run, walk, rollerblade, etc). Open during daylight hours and the places I park in Cobb county all offer free parking if you decide to drive there.

Silver Comet is an amazing resource! I am on it a few times a week and have rode the trail all the way to Anniston Alabama. There are many organized events and its great for hard core training and folks that just want a stroll through the woods. The trail in Georgia is mostly under a forest canape so its... More

Escape to nature in the middle of the city. Great, shady trail, people were very friendly. Clean and felt safe. Parking is limited on busy days.

Great area to spend family time. As with any place be aware of your surroundings. Biking, skateboard, and just walking.

I go at least three times a week. It is so peaceful and chill and has so many beautiful stops along the way. I want to go further west at some point. Please please please pick up after yourselves!!

I actually make my decision to live in Paulding County because I love Silver Comet trail. I'm a road bicycle rider as well as a walker and jogger on this trail. I can tell you from personal experience it's not safe on the trail normally weekdays between 10:00 a.m. til around 3:00 p.m. Always use common sense, if you're the... More

I've been riding the Silver Comet Trail for about a year and a half. I average about 22 miles a ride. I love the Comet. It is incredibly peaceful, quite and shaded for most of the first 20 miles (I haven't been past the 20 mile marker). Mostly flat, so good for all levels. Also very easy to create any... More

I've been going to this trail or over 10years. It's beautiful and the people on it are very nice and friendly. Something about being outside, surrounded by beauty brings out the best in people. Unfortunately no place is immune to danger. I usually go during popular times if alone and with my husband otherwise. Be safe and enjoy!
