An oasis in a college town

Beautiful selection of native plants. Buildings blend harmoniously with the environment. Educational and relaxing.

I drove by the area a thousand times and never realized this garden was tucked in down this little side road. The garden is beautiful and quiet. It's also a wonderful place for events such as weddings. The garden is free to park and attend.

A lovely place to visit...a longleaf pine area, many native plants. Wild azaleas are beautiful this time of year. A knowledgeable and helpful staff. Love this place and miss it since I moved away. Also, a great place for a wedding. Many great activities for families and for adults.

This is a fabulous gem in our town. The staff is wonderful and with a small budget they have done wonders. Everything they do is top notch. Try a lunch and learn presented several times a year, great lunch and always a great speaker.

I enjoy visiting the Garden of the Coastal Plain in every season. The staff does a phenomenal job of maintaining the gargen and staying true to its mission. The fall and spring plant sales not only raise money for the garden but also give plant/flower lovers the opportunity to buy wonderful plants for our own years.

I attended a wedding at the Garden of the Coastal Plain at GSU and you would have thought you were in the Garden of Eden. It is very well kept, immaculately groomed and the people that work there are so helpful and generous with their time. Plants are tagged by name so you know what you are looking at. Love... More

Quaint place is perfect for a quiet walk, family fun time, school field trip, Wedding and reception, and so much more. I think of this as our best kept secret! The staff are friendly. Kathy Tucker is an excellent educational trainer and teacher LOVE her workshops/training. Kids can't wait to go to "the garden" for an exiting adventure. Our very... More

Very attractive hundred year old farmstead and garden set right in a modern university. A farmhouse, barn, and schoolhouse surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens of plants and flowers of the local area. This creates a great contrast with the bustling campus hidden behind the trees.
