This is a beautiful example of bas-relief carving. In fact, it's the largest in the world. Even if you disagree with the subject matter (Confederate memorial), you can still appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that is the Stone Mountain carving!!

The carving is amazing, it's hard to get a true perspective as to how big the carving actually is. You can get a good view of the carving without going up in the sky car. Well worth a visit if in the area.

This carving is amazing! Great view from the sky ride! So awesome what they can do to the carving during the laser show. Enjoy dinner on the lawn while waiting for the laser show.

It usually begins at 9 pm and I can purchase the tickets online any time available. I purchased it at around 3pm when I was traveling to Stone Mountain.
