Very well worth a look at this amazing carving. You need to take the skyride to get the best view and when we visited it was a beautiful sunny day.

We have visited here often and it is always very pretty and full of history. They have a great little "town" geared towards children, a sky lift to get to the top, lots of history etc... We stayed one evening for the laser light show. It was o.k. but nothing spectacular. It was crowded - not enough seating and hot.... More

it was a nice time. they still had the show despite the rain. I remember most of it from years ago so they could change it up a bit.

I love to hike and see things from a different point of view, so my wife and I decided to climb this thing. It was definitely a challenge, but a challenge worth doing.

The carving itself is a beautiful work of art. From the bottom of the mountain it doesn't look very large. We found the size of the carving is best appreciated on the Summit Skyride. Both going up and coming down the views are amazing. To get the history behind the carving check out Stone Mountain Museum at Memorial Hall.

This attraction is mesmerizing as to the size of the carving in the stone. It also gives a good history lesson to youngsters. The hike looks like a piece of cake until you start climbing, be prepared and know your fitness level. This is a must see if you want to do something outside of the city. Nearby town is... More

We love visiting stone mountain. Gorgeous view from the top of the mountain. It's a very neat sight. You can take a ride up on a cable car or hike up the mountain! My 3 year old loves riding the train in the park.

Nice to see for a weekend trip. A relaxing weekend. We enjoyed walking up Stone mountain. The train ride was good too. Don't expect much just a small weekend trip. We enjoyed it. The laser show is worth staying for.

The laser show was cool, and the memorial (Robert e lee and Jefferson Davis carve into mountain) itself is amazing. Really a work of art.
