Folk Art Exhibit - Don't Miss It

Kind of hidden, out of the way, but well worth finding. Folk Art at it's very best. Howard Finster was quite a character and it shows in every bit of his art. Some of his pieces will bring to me Watt's Towers; and also Gaudi's works. It's overwhelming, there is so much to take in. The admission was $10 (may... More

My son and his fiancee got married here. There is so much there to see . It was amazing what you can do with what most would consider junk. The mirror tree house was my favorite part.

Well when I saw the outside of Paradise Garden I laughed and wondered what on earth had we come to. To say the place is strange is an understatement, but as you go round and see everthing you become amazed by the work and vision of one man. Some of the art work moved me at a level that was... We had to visit as could not believe what we had been told. This must be one of the most unique and a bit odd art /life exhibitions you will ever see. The only downside is that some of the best pieces are in Atlanta.

They say art is in the eye of the beholder. We benefited from watching the brief video on Mr. Finster's life and experiences. This really gave me more insight into his personality and I think this helped me to understand and appreciate his talent. It was definitely different and I am glad I came for the visit.

If you think that broken bottles shoved into concrete is art than this place is for you. If you think broken records hanging on the wall and broken dishes shoved into concrete then this place is for you. If you find piles of rusted bicycle tires and chicken wire towers filled with broken ceramic plates and trash interesting then this... More

This place is worth a visit. They have cleaned it up considerably since I was there last several years ago. It's different, fun, quirky and interesting. Highly recommended!

My fiancee and I are avid collectors of outsider art / art brut, so Howard Finster is well known to us. Finster is the Renior, the Van Gogh, the Davinci, the Rothko of the outsider art world. Not an art fan? How about the fact he designed album covers for both REM and Talking Heads?! And if Finster's works aren't... More

Very worth the trip but a little disappointing that almost none of his paintings were there. The miniature garden at the end is the best. My 10month old looked around like she was in Disneyland already.
