Overview
More
Located in a lush mountain valley in North Georgia Wine Country, the 7-acre vineyard features European vinifera grapes (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Tannat, and Petit Manseng), along with a French-American hybrid planted in 2016 (Traminette) and Semillon planted in 2017. There are five dry wines on our Stonewall Creek label. In the 2016 Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge, our 2014 Boriana (Petit Manseng) was named Best of Competition, and competed against our 2014 Cabernet Franc in the blind tasting as Best White Vinifera and Best Red Vinifera (100% Georgia Grown), respectively.. We offer two wines, Norton and a semi-sweet Petit Manseng on our Standing Deer Cellar label. (Our Norton grapes are grown nearby on The Stack Farm.) Stop by the picturesque vineyard and enjoy our wines served with a mountain view on the terrace just above the vineyards. Cheese plates available. OPEN 5 DAYS A WEEK from June to mid-December (Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday, 1-5 and Saturday, 11:30-5) or by appointment. Full tasting fee (6 wines): $10. Other options available.

My husband and I visited this winery a couple days ago, along with many others in the area. This was by far the best yet. The staff here are so so friendly, not pretentious, just down to earth friendly people. The facility is also very...More

You hit it. Wine should not be pretentious and should be enjoyed. Stop by again if you're in our neighborhood. Harvest will soon be here along with our annual Harvest Stomp (combination of "I Love Lucy" with an Athens surf band) on Saturday, October 7th.

My wife and I stopped in for a tasting and had a hard time leaving. The views are awesome and the wine is amazing. Everything is reasonably priced. It's fantastic!

Great! We work hard to grow the best grapes ("the views") and to make the best wine ("wine is amazing"). Of course, Mother Nature still rules! Stop by again if you're in our neighborhood.

Thank you for stopping by! (Wish we could get rid of the hiking ad that pops up on TripAdvisor. Not us!)

The wine was very tasty for the area, highly recommend it. There was even lemonade for the little ones. The scenery of the vineyard was beautiful and the service was fantastic. They do not offer snacks though but a picnic is encouraged!

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, do bring a picnic for the winery terrace above the vineyards. Today, we're launching our traditional cheese plates & charcuterie plates ($10) in addition to the usual crackers, cheese and wine jelly (gratis).
