You could say it's small, but I would say it's an intimate look at the rich history of Basque people in Idaho. A real gem that should not be overlooked. Wonderful for in town or out of town visitors to learn that Boise is a hub for Basque culture!

Boise is always full of surprises, and one of my favorites is its significant Basque population. This museum is small, but it has lots of information and things to see. You can tell that the Boise Basque population is very proud of their heritage and you'll learn why so many Basque decided to make Boise their home. Very well done... More

We enjoyed learning about the Basque people and their culture. The museum included a lot of neat facts about the Basque and how they came to live in Idaho.

Great museum with interest exhibits. Wish it had been open longer today. Easy to read signage, great photos and video. Even a sheep camp.

We loved the Basque Museum and Cultural Center. We were treated particularly well by a wonderful Basque man named Fulgencio, who personally escorted us throughout the museum. Fulgencio began his life in America as a sheep herder, so what a treat it was to see the excellent sheep wagon exhibit while hearing his stories of what life was like for... More

Very excited to find this in Boise during a recent visit. Always curious about the Basque culture...now I know! Great museum and the docent (a Basque woman) was so friendly and informative. Also loved the tour of the home next door. Learned so much....from the exhibits and the docent. A great experience. Now to learn the card game I bought... More

An unexpected stop in Boise led to a walk in the historic downtown and my discovery of this very special museum. The museum docent was... More
