We learned a lot about the history of Northern Idaho. Everything was presented in a very easy and understandable manner. Cost was very reasonable.

I wasn't incredibly impressed with the museum because there wasn't much to look at. The employees were very sweet and knowledgeable, but the attractions themselves were not all that in my opinion.

I've visited the museum 3 times -- usually on Free Museum Day. Exhibits highlight the region's economy and people. The written text accompanying most exhibits give sufficient appreciative details. I like the exhibits about the Great Fire, the aquifer & Ice Age and Forest Service...More

Very nice facility, interesting exhibit, and free parking to boot! I really liked the mining and antique uniforms on display. Very clean and well organized from early days to present. Enjoyed the museum very much!

The museum itself was pretty small, but it has a lot of history packed into it on the steam boats, logging, Native Americans, and early settlers. They also have a temporary exhibit on the railroads right now. Took us about an hour to go through...More

Takes about an hour with the movie. Covers a lot of subtle details about the early history of the area. Special exhibit about trains and their impact on the history of North Idaho.

Well worth the $4 adult ticket price. Between the half hour movie and then touring the museum we learned so much about the area. Highly recommend if you visit beautiful Coeur d'Alene. The gentleman working there was really great...friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks!!

The museum is small, well done with a very friendly volunteer staff. Sadly, the area is under construction and getting to the entrance of the museum proved rather difficult. Signage for the entrance was not up to date either. It is worth seeing.
