Very cool replica, lots of area for the kids to run around and blow off steam and even learn something. Has a surprisingly nice Bannock County museum on the same property. The zoo butts up to the grounds too so you get to see some...More

Full Scale Replica of Fort Hall based upon archaeology and documents. Exhibits on both floors of log structures. Corner Lookouts are not open to public. See also the excellent History Museum next door. The pint-sized town between the two did not attract our attention ......More

It's kind of neat to see all of the artifacts they found that pertain to the Oregon Trail. This place doesn't seem to have a big budget. The displays reminded me of a High School project display case. However - it was very informative and...More

Fort Hall started out as a trading post supporting the European and then Americans as they explored and then moved west. As a "fort" its purpose was to protect the goods and property from the Indians. There is a small gift shop on the left...More

We very much enjoyed visiting this interesting well documented museum. With the help of a tour guide we were able to get a feel for how the people who lived at the fort or traveled through lived their day to day lives. It is a...More
