Although it's hot outside, in the caves it's cool and comfortable. Amazing finds - my son found a small olive oil jug that was perfectly intact. The walk (crawl) through the caves is very special but several tight spots to fit through.

A super and beautiful historical site. A touch of history set in a wonderful National Park. The Israel National Parks have done an excellent job here, a site not to be missed.

Our experience was phenomenal! First, we got to dig for stones and pottery, and later we got to spelunk through a 4000-year old cave! Mark was a fantastic guide who displayed his knowledge with energy and humour like you wouldn't believe! Seniors should be advised...More

We visited on our way to Jerusalem and it was well worth the stop! The sights were pretty cool and there was enough information to learn about all the places we were visiting. We highly recommend a visit!

These caves are pretty amazing. My kids (12 & 9) liked exploring the many caves and learning that several of the caves were used to rear pigeons - an important food source in this arid region many years ago.

Bet Guvrin-Maresha is a really interesting archaeological site, plus they have a dig-for-a-day program, so you can actually participate in an archaeological dig.

Ancient caves dug into the chalk. You need a car or even better, a guide, to get there and appreciate the history of the area. Unfortunately we did not have a guide and arrived late, around 3pm. By the time we oriented ourselves the park...More

Israelis love to Hike..very crowded during the intermittent days of the Hondas: succo t and Passover. All main attractions are crowded, . The natives Israelis, who are very observant make these two holidays their main vacation days and do not work!!
