I was a little nervous after reading the mixed reviews ... and we were coming from The Cove Eleuthera which was about an hour (or more) drive each way to the Ocean Hole. BUT, you only get to see an Ocean Hole once in a...More

So, I traveled to Rock Sound thinking I would be going to see something pretty cool and people kept telling me, "There's a sign--you can't miss it" and unfortunately, as with signage in so many other locations in Eleuthera, I definitely missed it. The hole...More

Ocean Hole is a neat place to visit to see the fish, feed the fish and even snorkel or swim with them. There are legends that the water has healing properties. If you don't talk to local residents about it, it may not seem that...More

Had fun jumping in and swimming but was a bit surprised by how murky the water appeared, at least at our visit. A worthwhile experience which requires somewhat limited amount of time.

What's more fun that snorkeling with parrot and angel fish following you around? This is a lovely natural wonder in the middle of a town.

We thought Ocean Hole was really cool. A natural salt water pond carved into the coral, Ocean Hole was full beautiful fish. The water was a little bit warmer than the ocean and crystal clear. We had a great time swimming there and will make...More

Ocean Hole is easy to get to in Rock Sound. While the cenote itself is a natural formation, the area around it is developed as a local park, so this is not a blue hole deep in the wild. There are pathways build circling the...More
