Southwest service is the worst ever!! If you can can avoid metra I would def do so. Never gets you to your destination on time, I can walk and will be there faster..

I frequently take Metra to/from work, and it’s a terrible service. They are frequently late by at least 10 minutes (usually more) most of the time. Their fares are also expensive for unreliable service. It’s almost easier to drive than take Metra.

Taking the suburban train is simple and comfortable. You travel to the downtown station and can warm up in the winter, grab some coffee and head out. The conductors are friendly and helpful on the train and in the main terminal.

I have found them to be accurate maybe off by 10 minutes or so max. They have a download phone app that tells you when to expect rain etc. Congrats to your son. If you are coming in to the city might I recommend an... More

Get a CTA ticket and ride the EL. Metra trains bring people in from the burbs and beyond. Hop on bus is good and the trolley last I checked was free
