The Field Museum is truly world class. The permanent exhibits such as the amazing and extensive dinosaur skeleton collection are awe inspiring and have to be seen to really appreciate. We have never seen better treatment of the evolution and the diversity of life on...More

this museum is huge. I had to just skim thru everything, I could have missed an exhibit. They charge extra if you want to see certain showcase exhibits. I got the Go Chicago Card so I chose the Chinese gallery as opposed to another. Its...More

An entire day can be spent here. We each had our favorites, my son and I love the Native Americans, while our friends enjoyed the Dinosaurs.

It was fun. It was cool to see Sue. Everything seemed a bit dated, but it was a good museum. The dinosaur exhibit and ancient Egypt exhibits were the best part. During our visit they also had the Terracotta Warriors, which were cool.

The Field Museum is currently sponsoring an incredible display of the Teracotta Warriors from China. This exhibition is highly recommended during your stay in Chicago.

We visited with our teenage son and our friend from Brazil, his wife and their 5yo son. Everyone had an excellent time. I suggest planning for a whole day, so you don't miss anything.

South Loop
This downtown neighborhood offers a variety of
activities ranging from cultural to sporting. If you
happen to visit during football season, you may bump
into a boisterous few fans on their way to a Bears
game on the southernmost tip of South Loop. On the
flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and
educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and
aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park

We walked there from our hotel. About a mile one way. Plenty closer than mine. Easy bus ride to the museum too.

No, The Field Museum is not part of the BofA program but 5 others are. The list is on the website. In that same area is the Shedd Aquarium which is on the list and I would also recommend Art Institute and Chicago History... More
