This is a must-see at least once, even if you're not into science. I promise it will be interesting, and you will learn something (even if you don't want to!).

We only did the General Admission ($12) rather than pay extra for the space screenings etc. (which would have doubled the price), so perhaps that’s why my experience was only ‘okay’. I think the museum is set up really well – very interactive and great for kids to learn about space exploration. However, I just felt there was so much... More

I suggest going on one of the many free community days. Weekdays are best to avoid crowds. Many neat exhibits for kids to explore and lots of interesting science facts.

The planetarium is a great experience for families with kids that are able to sit through 30 minute films. We saw all the films, it was great. The exhibits were good, not great, we spent about 3.5 hours and felt like we saw it all.

Not with my time. Very low budget presentation. Almost minimalistic. Felt like an empty warehouse with a few 4rth grade science projects scattered about. Thankfully not expensive. Compared to the Field Museum it was a tremendous disappointment. Would not recommend this.

We spent a morning at the Planetarium and really enjoyed it. We watched two shows that were both excellent and enjoyed the exhibits. Seeing real meteors, a moon rock, and a Gemini capsule were highlights. The shows are very well done and feel like a 3-D experience. Recommend getting there early if you want to park nearby. The views of... More

This was part of the city pass I chose, its conveniently next to the Field museum and Shedd Aquarium. I suggest starting early and its possible to fit all 3 in one day depending on how into the things you are. Tight squeeze, but doable!

Expected more out of this place. Could have done a live show of the current night sky!! Food court is too expansive for the value. Nine Planets was the best show they had - more adult oriented.

If I had to do over our trip, this is one thing I could skip. It was ok, but the exhibits weren't very engaging, Some of the interactive ones didn't work. As large as the building was, I expected more to see inside, and almost 1/2 of it was a play area for small children. The kids seemed to enjoy... More

Such a good program, educational, entertaining, pleasant seating, great speakers, learned a lot, and the questions were all answered well. Good for all ages.
