Michigan avenue runs a long way. It runs at least from downtown in the loop all the way up and past the great shopping of Miracle Mike. It runs kind of parallel with the lake. You can use Lake Michigan as a landmark to figure out which way is east. Walking over the Michigan Avenue bridge gives you great views... More

This bridge is around the general tourist area in Chicago it has a good view when walking over it and you can see the Chicago Tribune in the view. Magnificent Mile is close by it also provides a good view of people kayaking on the river. You can also book various tours in booths close to the bridge.

I am sure that the Michigan Avenue Bridge is one of the main attraction points for tourists. What a rich history, what invaluable memories kept and immortalized in sculptures and decorations. The scenic views from the Bridge are breathtaking and unforgettable. The century-long history of the Bridge is there, and it is with us. The flags of the US, Illinois... More

Spent a while here on Saturday 11th March admiring the green river for Paddy's day. The Big Bus Tours also depart from here as do the river cruises.

The bridge sidewalks are a wonderful opening in the city for taking pictures with a scenic background. Just walking across the bridge and looking up and around is a pleasant Chicago experience. Flags flown on the bridge have been used in support of city events like sports teams in championship series. The bridge itself can be the subject in the... More

Drive over or under , both are great. Or walk if you prefer. Watch the Untouchables with Sean Connery and Kevin Costner. Late April and early May when the sail boats launch and in early October when the sailboats go back up the river is the time to watch the bridge open and close. So impressive. Just go spend some... Though I had crossed the Michigan Ave Bridge (DuSable Bridge) many times, I never paid much attention, out of the car windows. This trip, we stayed at LondonHouse Hotel, right beside the bridge at Wacker Dr and Michigan Ave. As the weather was excellent, especially for February, I launched out to get some photographs of the hotel, and crossed the...
