While ones drives or walks down Devon avenue it looks that u r waking in some part of Pakistan or India. This avenue is full of restaurants and sweet mart shops of Pakistan /India origin. There are restaurants offering different specialities of the sub continent food. Not only that you have stores which are selling imported food stuff and various... More

There are a variety of North/South Indian as well as Pakistani restaurants surrounding this area, a mere glimpse of the culture that these countries possess. Filled with restaurants, grocery stores, and shops with Indian/Pakistani memorabilia/artifacts/cultural antiques, this place is great if you want some of the best Indian food in Chicago.

The Indian-Pakistani part of West Devon Ave. is not located anywhere near Park Ridge, as the TripAdvisor map suggests. It is located approximately 7.2 miles east on Devon Ave., between 2400 W. (Western Ave.) and 3200 W. (Kedzie Ave.), in Chicago, itself. You will find countless numbers of Pakistani and Indian restaurants, ranging from inexpensive to expensive. There are a... More

Great Indian food-we walked around the street for a while just window shopping. If you're interested in authentic culture, this is the place for you. Be sure to walk in to several of the ethnic grocery stores-and grab a frozen kulfi from a nearby convenience store as you walk!

It's a little slice of Indian and Pakastani shopping and dining. Khan's BBQ is really good food (watch out, the tandoori will turn your fingers orange), but good food can be found in a lot of the storefront restaurants, also. There are places to buy all things Indian and Pakastani. Once upon a time, this was a Jewish neighborhood (and... More

So much fun to go to Devon Aveunue. Quite a range of Indian cuisine, from the very hot Southern Indian to the less spicy Northern cuisine. Highly recommend this Chicago "neighborhood"!

I went back to Devon Avenue after a few years and felt that the character of the place changed a lot. I don't know whether this is good or bad. There is a paid parking lot owned by a very friendly owner/operator called Khan. (This is west of Mysore Woodlands.) The parking lot seems to have not finished. Several of... More

People say Chicago is a city of neighborhoods and this one exemplifies that motto. The area is very walkable, reachable on public transit, and very family friendly. When exploring our city definitely make time and take half a day to see this amazing neighborhood!
