From the Blues Brothers? This place reminds me of that. It seems like a hodgepodge of kitsch thrown together and plunked right down in the blues. It has a dive bar feel to it, which isn’t bad, but it doesn’t quite pull it off. Part...More

Fun atmosphere, cheap drinks, great music! Free cover for military plus one guest. What else could you ask for?

Good place to listen to music and dance! You can drink here and order snacks. This place is overcrowded on weekends.

The later it gets or the earlier it gets. Depends on your point of view. But the view of Kingston Mines gets better. Arrive drunk. Get drunker. And dance. Can't dance? No matter. Just move any you want. Nobody cares. I love the music. I...More

There’s a seedy vibe that I loved but it’s the music that makes it. Bands are of a very high standard. Decent bar food and drinks deals. Free entry for students on some nights. Well worth a visit. More ‘authentic’ than some of the places...More

The Kingston Mines is a very famous and, as far as my experience tells me, extremely popular Blues venue. I went with my wife and a friend and the experience was remarkable. While the food was only average, the drinks are spectacular. Where this place...More

We went on a Monday night and there was plenty of space and good vibes. Free Street parking was a plus that you don’t find many places in Chicago. Everyone was very friendly and the musicians were very talented.

My understanding is that the liquor age in Illinois is 21 so I don't believe that they would allow anyone in under that age. But find their phone number and call to double check.
