I had just been to San Francisco a few months prior, so seeing this one was a bit discouraging. Not that I did not go in with tempered expectations, but this was more of an Asian Town than Chinatown as there were many more nationalities...More

Small Chinatown, but lovely restaurants, shops and bakeries. Bit far from downtown, but you can get there by watertaxi, metro or citybike.

You don't get a lot of opportunity to visit cities with chinatowns. Chicago chinatown is small but a decent size with lots of stores and restaurants very concentrated next to each other. They have a bunch of good bakeries and restaurants to visits as well...More

I wanted to see the Chinatown of Chicago. It's smaller than I imagine but if you are curious you will want to see it.

Love Chinatown here! Food is delicious, and you get pretty authentic options! Great spots for dim-sum, and other options for noodles, dumplings, fusion Asian foods. Would highly recommend checking the area out - CTA train stop is Cermak 22nd St. You can also drive, and...More

Chinatown is easy to get to if you are taking the public subway (The L). You are dropped off in Chinatown. We went on a cold day, but there were still people out walking about. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. There were...More

The interesting part is just one 'closed' street which is mostly full with restaurants. I visited relatively early in the morning we=hen most of the establishments were closed but this actually added some magic to the place. I'm not sure it is worth going out...More

If you want authentic Chinese food...here's the place! The candy shop we went to (forgot the name) was way over priced however, the souvenir shops were very interesting and the shopkeepers were all friendly.

Chinatown may be one of Chicago’s smallest
neighborhoods geographically, but it's big on
character, colors, sights, sounds, and flavors. In
this South Side neighborhood, you’ll find authentic
Chinese restaurants dotting the length of Wentworth
Avenue. After a meal of dim sum, noodles, duck or
other tantalizing food specialties, satiate your
visual appetite with dozens of public art sculptures

It looks like Sing's Noodles and Slurp Slurp are the only places that offer hand-pulled noodles. Is that correct, or are there others that you would recommend? Thanks!
