DePaul Art Museum's new 15,200-square-foot three-story building, which opened in September 2011, reflects DePaul's broad commitment to the arts through provocative exhibitions that rotate every six to eight weeks. The gallery is renowned for its permanent collection of artwork from 20th century Midwest painters as well as photography, but exhibits run the full gamut of artistic tastes.

This small museum does more for Chicago Imagists than the city's big museums and even the one founded to showcase Chicago art. It's a nice space, well lit with the art respectfully displayed. Any show there is well worth a visit.

Saw a nice exhibition about soil and the human relationship to the soil. The exhibition was very good, and the people working at the gallery (the "guards" in the rooms) were very knowledgable and happy to help or just talk about the art.

Couple of rooms, very well presented, new emerging talent, friendly staff and free. If you are around the area and like museums, do pay it a visit!
