Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Located on land once occupied by historic Fort Dearborn and later by Illinois Central's extensive railroad yards, Illinois Center is a mixed-used urban development in downtown Chicago that once was described as "the greatest real estate deal in history." Designed by world renowned architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the 83-acre complex includes five towers of office and residential buildings, 5 million square feet of office space and three hotels with 3,500 rooms all connected by an enclosed concourse or East Loop Pedway that is lined with more than 100 shops, restaurants, banks and salons. The trick for newcomers is to navigate the maze-like walkways to find their destination. Over 18,000 people walk through the doors daily. The development once included a golf course, which has been turned into a park now surrounded by an urban village of high-rise buildings called Lakeshore East. It covers four city blocks, bounded on the west by Michigan Avenue, on the south by Randolph Street, on the north by Wacker Drive and on the east by Lake Shore Drive. The infrastructure plans were overwhelming, including the rerouting of Lake Shore Drive and demolition of its infamous "S" curve, an extension of Wacker Drive and addition of many layers of walkways, parking lots and underground roads. Today, Illinois Center is at the heart of the thoroughfare between the Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park and is the largest office complex with the only outdoor landscaped plaza on Michigan Avenue.

Do NOT buy this card! It is a rip off! They don’t tell you that if you buy a three day unlimited and don’t activate it until 4:45 pm on your first day, they will count that WHOLE day as your first day on the pass, even though you only got to go to one attraction. They need to communicate this better! 😡

The SHedd Aquarium is not included. Go Chicago website makes it seem as if you can choose from any of the 28 attractions. You cannot. I purchased this card. I had to pay to go the the aquarium. This card is bogus, lying crap. Don't waste your money.

We purchased the one day pass, but unfortunately, it is not good until 10:00 and expires at 5:30. We went on the trolley, but it is very slow and cumbersome. We wanted to do the Windy Ship tour as well as the Architecture River Cruise, but found out when we got the card that you could only do one of the two - very disappointing. With the time constraints, we were only able to do two things and would have been better off just paying cash,

Had a jam packed weekend in Chicago using the Chicago Go Card. The card offered so many options. There are other passes like the city pass, but it does not offer the variety you get with the Go Card. We got to skip the long lines at the Shedd and Field museum with the card, which always help to save time.

The Go Chicago Card is well worth you time and money. By buying the card we saved time and money. We saved over $75 instead of paying at each attraction, plus it gave us "skip the Line" at a couple of places. We will definately buy it again when we go back to Chicago. If you have time buy it on line. If you are ordering several passes at the same time you only get one Attraction Book, if you order individual passes you get a book with each pass.
