    City Chill Spot
"The Bean" is kinda cool - it's this shiny sculpture that reflects the skyline in a fun way. The park has green spots, cool fountains, and art stuff outside. It's just a chill place to hang out in the middle of the city. Check it out if you're around!

Whether you're into art, nature, or just want a laid-back hangout, this park's got you covered. It's the city's green gem – simple, cool, and totally worth a visit.

Nice park even though the Bean was closed
It was my first time visiting Chicago so naturally I wanted to see the Bean (or Cloud Gate), but unfortunately it was closed from the public during our visit. Millennium Park was still nice though – it's an inviting location with immediate access to the Lakefront and the Riverwalk and Lakefront trails. It's probably even prettier in the summer, although this time around we got to enjoy the quiet and peaceful park with not many visitors. Views of the skyline are great.

Popular Green Space and Home of The Bean but Offering Much More
Millennium Park is a beautiful green space in downtown Chicago most known as the location of "The Bean" or more correctly named Cloud Gate. However, there is much more to the park including the Crown Fountain, Millennium Monument, the Lurie Botanical Garden and the Jay Pritzker Pavillion which is an amphitheater offering open air concerts throughout the summer months, many of them free to the public. It is also just a great place to wander, sit on a bench, people watch or view the stunning Chicago skyline. However, the park is also very busy with visitors as it seems that everyone who visits Chicago has to see The Bean. Visit early in the day to avoid the crowds. The park opens at 6am if you really want to get a special photo.

    Great park and rink
Took a walk down the Magnificent Mile and ended up at Millennium Park. I wanted to see the "Bean" but it and the immediate area around it was under construction. Not one to let something get in my way I did manage to get a good look at it and snap a decent photo. The rest of the park is a nice relaxed part of the city with many things to appreciate. We took a nice break at the Millennium Monument at one of the plentiful benches. The highlight though was the ice rink. Really nice spot for a free skate and it wasn't busy during the week. One just has to book a time online first. They have skate rentals there too. Decent skates for beginners with a molded boot but I encourage skaters to bring their own. The rink also provided a different perspective of the Bean as well.

    Photo Op!
It is crowded and a tourist thing, but that just makes it even more fun! Pick a spot get those cool reflecting photos, then move aside for someone else to get a spot. It is easily a 10min photo op but nothing much else.

    A really nice park
The park is very nice, clean and organized and have that famous bean in it. It also has a big place for concerts. I went during a hot day in May but I think it even looks nicer in evenings

Very nice, but it is under renovation (May/24)
Classic spot for any visitor to Chicago. The beans are cool and the park around it is really beautiful. You can walk there for a good few hours and from there head to the fountain and to the museum island. Note: now in May/24 it is under renovation. I went there on 05/25/2024 and you can't get close to the beans, as it is under renovation (I don't know for how long).

So Much Fun! Watch for Others
The park is gorgeous, and there's always something going on - from concerts to food trucks to buskers, it was so fun to walk through. I went three different days during a trip and there was always something cool to see! That said, the one caution I have that people can, frankly, suck. One person who worked at the park told me I couldn't have my DSLR camera. They couldn't tell me why, or what the rule was, and expected compliance; which, I didn't give and there were no problems. Some tourists also have no concept of how much physical space they inhabit and can disrupt the experience.

    Qianxi Park
The environment is very good for playing in the summer. There is a security check at the entrance of the park. It is a pity that the Silver Bean is under maintenance recently and I didn’t see it. The bridge leading to another park in the middle is one-way and you can’t go back once you go up. It takes about two hours to go around the whole park. It is more suitable for local Chicago families to come and relax on weekends. Outsiders are likely to come to the Silver Bean to take a photo and leave for a one-time visit. It is more suitable to insert it into a complete travel day and take a look along the way.

Established in July 2004 it is now one of the biggest free attractions of Chicago city covering an area of 1400 acres. A prominent civic center near the city's Lake Michigan shoreline is the number one tourist attraction in the Midwestern United States visited by about 25 million people annually. The admission to the park is free, and it features the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, the Lurie Garden, and other attractions. Also, it has an exceptional blend of stunning architecture, sculpture and landscape design. We found this park a good place to walk around and watch people of different nationalities and nature enjoying the outdoors and observing the beauty of Chicago. For the visitors’ entertainment, there are three square blocks of open lakefront complete with a Ferris Wheel, outdoor music pavilion, and ice-skating rink. Skating is free and open to the public. Cloud Gate, aka “The Bean”, one of Chicago’s most popular sights, is in this park. It is 33 feet high, 42 feet wide, and 66 feet long. It weighs about 110 tons. The parking fees range from $27 to $34 for up to 3 hours depending on weekdays and weekends. In short, the Park is an award-winning center for art, music, architecture and landscape design.

Millennium Park is obviously a favorite among tourists. There is a large amphitheater which would be great for concerts. The "Bean" was surrounded by tourists but is a fascinating piece of modern art. The highly polished surfaces of the Bean is like going into the fun house at a carnival and if you stand with your back to the city, you get a panoramic view in the reflection. I do recommend taking public transportation or walk if your hotel is close by. Parking here is really expensive ($30.00 for 3 hours or part thereof).

This beautiful park that links downtown to the Lake Michigan shore is a mecca for people of all ages who come to enjoy the wide-open spaces, beautiful landscaping and fun outdoor sculptures. The Crown Fountain (with faces spitting streams of water at people below every 20 minutes) and the huge Cloud Gate mirrored "bean" are fun, impressive and totally original. The undulating BP pedestrian bridge across Lakeshore Drive is an amazing and beautiful piece of architecture. The park is surrounded by the skyscrapers of the city on three sides and the vast open sky above Lake Michigan on the other. This park is well worth a stroll in any kind of weather at any time of the year.

Brought one of our daughters here (birthday trip) and she wanted to ice skate (it was January). Skate rental was $15, or you could bring your own. Rental line was long, but it moved. Lots of people on the ice - and they could use some separation on skill levels of skaters. It was a cold day and the hot chocolate was perfect to sit on a bench and watch the skater circle.

We went on a very cold winter day when there was freezing rain so that biased my opinion a tad. The park in general is pretty cool with some cool art installations (ie. The bean, video screens with random faces, etc). They did have a ice skating rink as well but we passed due to the rain. Still a good time but would've enjoyed it more in the spring.

We were only in Chicago for 3 days so we got a 2 day Hop On / Hop Off bus pass. We spent the first day mainly on the bus and then on the second day used it to return to the sites we wanted to spend time at. As we visited in March, there wasn't a lot in the Park to see as far as gardens were concerned but The Bean was so worth the visit. I could have spent a couple of hours just looking from different angles at all the incredible reflections. It is just so cleverly constructed and a 'must see'.

Home of the ‘Bean’ but lots of other things to see as well. Lovely park, freezing and snowing the day we went but still looked great. Having been before in July when the weather was glorious it was a great place to chill out away from the hustle of the busy city.

During your visit go no later than mid morning and take 15 to 30 minutes to enjoy cloud gate, and other nice views of the city in this park. Cloud gate gets the most attention but the picture on the bridge and further away from the beginning of cloud gate has amazing pictures of the city trust. Take the time to walk around and see. See my pictures below as examples

I went to the millennium park twice during the day and at night.

I liked both times because it was simply amazing to see how many people gather around these gorgeous place and how clean it was.
This is a must go place when you visit Chicago.

You have many benches where you can sit and relax and because we went during the winter they were also had an ice skating rink where people can rent the ice-skating shoes and play there too.

The Christmas decoration was so beautiful with a huge Christmas tree in the middle that I fell in love with.
