They do a lot with the stages. We really like the new theater that just opened. Avoid sitting high up in the old theater. It is reasonably priced. It is not difficult to park since they have a separate area for theater-goers.

DO NOT buy tickets for Upper Gallery Row B, section 7, seats 50 +. The seats are uncomfortable, and obstructed view. They do not tell you that they have an obstructed view anywhere when purchasing tickets. We felt like we were literally sitting on top...More

The recent production of “Macbeth” was apparently the first Shakespearean production to be performed in the new facility called The Yard. It is a beautiful facility and the show was magnificent! Ushers did seem unsure of how to seat people (especially the predominantly elderly audience...More

Getting to Navy Pier is a pain. We went to see Macbeth with my son, his wife and our 14 year old grandson. The drive to the Pier is a traffic nightmare and the parking is miserable and expensive ($28) although with a validated theatre...More

Visited for a MacBeth matinee and it was wonderful. The YARD is gorgeous, theatre and setting is divine. Used the Under 35 ticket discount and scored 2 front row seats for $20 each. What a steal for a professional production such as this. Only complaint...More

We saw a first rate production of this play at this incredible location. The venue was theater in the round and everything was quite easy in terms of parking and dinner.

No bad seats at any of the theaters at this venue. All boast breathtaking lobby views of the city. Intermissions are an elevated experience sipping a beverage and taking in the scenery. This venue offers more than Shakespeare in terms of productions. Lots of variety...More

Attended MacBeth with husband and nephew. Theater is a wonderful space. Had mid balcony seats- view and sound were perfect. The show was the best live Shakespeare I’ve seen. Lighting, minimal music and staging really added a wonderful atmosphere. The acting was top-notch and really...More

While a college student, I was fortunate to see many productions at the former location and have fond memories of those shows. Decades later I came across an article about the Teller-Posner MACBETH, my favorite play to teach and direct, so I had to make...More

Though not my first Macbeth, nor my first Macbeth by The Chicago Shakespeare Company, it will live longest in my memory. The special effects, costumes, interaction with the audience, staging, set, and percussion all create a perfect mysterious, haunting setting for this remarkable play. It...More
