The Lookingglass Theatre Company seeks to redefine the limits of theatrical experience and to make theatre exhilarating, inspirational, and accessible to all.Through theatre, which invites, even demands, interaction with its audience, the company's goal is to fire the imagination with love, to celebrate the human capacity to taste and smell, weep and laugh, create and destroy, and wake up where we first fell --- changed, charged and empowered.

I am past 50 and have never read Moby Dick. I was intrigued by the advertising and shocked at how I really enjoyed the show! The acrobatics, great actors and versatile set made me feel that I was on the high seas.

This British play has been adapted to suit American audiences. To be honest, this is a universal story of the zero hour contract and how we treat people at work. He performances are 'in yer face', as is the play. The venue is welcoming, intimate...More

This production uses people and puppets in the spirit of War Horse and The Lion King. Two actors carry the production and, with the help of video and various types of puppets, craft an enjoyable evening of theatre. The production is for adults; it is...More

My husband and I attended the world premiere of the play, Mr. and Mrs. Pennyworth. The set was innovative, the use of shadow puppets and real puppets was creative. The story line was interesting and the production was brilliant. The two actors were very strong...More

We saw the show 'Life Sucks' and it was really fun. The stage is small and surrounded on three sides by seats, most on the ground floor. There is a row of seats in the balcony overlooking all the action where we sat and we...More

Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
