I didn't even see a playground. It looked like a field of dead grass with a small, mossy pond. It felt like we drove forever and saw nothing.

We haven't been here in years so it was a fun drive thru on a cold winter day. They have a lovely new education building, the ice and snow made it lovely but we didn't see any wildlife. Once it warms up we'll be back.

Caught 8 fish kayaking. Seen 2 eagles and 10 ospreys and 3 blue herrings. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining. A peaceful and relaxing day. I would recommend this park for everyone.

Plenty of attractions to peak your interest from the old restored buildings like the Neff Grocery ,barber shop and the Red Oak school. The one room school which I attended as a kid shows the nostalgia of the past as does the grocery. Other buildings and a gazebo make for interesting trip. Also has a nature Center, fishing lake and... More

Great park. My favorite one in Vermilion County, although Forest Glen comes in a close second. Nice trails. The lake is gorgeous in the fall. The little city has neat old buildings that you can walk around and check out.

They have a great event every August that combines some running races, an open car show with over 200 cars, and concerts in the afternoon and evening. It's a great event and getting better every year. It's centered in their historic village and has them open for tours during the event.

I enjoy fishing, camping, and going on the trails. I used to go camping there when I was in Girl Scouts.

Very nice park it is out in the middle of nowhere. It is very open not àlot. Of activities. They have many events in the past don't know what they are doing this year. The rangers are very strict and will have you arrested if you don't follow all of their rules. They have had concerts there but it was... More

This is my favorite park in Vermilion county. I may be baised though, because the chapel at Bunker Hill was the sight for our wedding. We also have attended many family reunions at the Hideaway. The park is very peaceful unless there is a big event being held, and even then the park is big enough that you don't get... More

Level terrain makes for great walking, bike riding, or cruising around. Numerous shelters for picnics and the "Bunker Hill" area is fantastic to walk around. Great spot for fishing as there is multiple areas to cast your line or even launch a boat. Very spacious. No need to fight for space to have some peace and quite. Safe place to... More
