Needed to fill some time after checking out of a hotel before picking up a friend at the airport. Found his Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Trip Advisor. The Shrine was very near our hotel and very easy to get to. The grounds are very big and the shrine is beautiful with the waterfall and flowers people leave for Our Lady. There is a chapel for prayer and opportunities to light candles for prayer intentions. There is also a religious gift shop. Many of the gift shop items are in Spanish. This is a lovely Shrine to stop and take some time out of the day for prayer, reflection, and peace.…

Years ago my guys took me here at the time my dad was in stage 4 as we walked the different stations I could feel myself feelin able to Handel things better after that dad went into remission for 11 years I try to stop by every so often to offer thanks 🙏

We visited the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe while visiting family in Des Plaines, IL. Visiting the shrine was the highlight of my trip to Des Plaines. There is a beautiful chapel, gift shop, cross with the image of the Sacred heart of Jesus, the shrine to the Virgin of Guadalupe and many statuaries and fountains. This is a lovely stop to reflect, pray and enjoy God's splendor. The candles for the alter can be purchased in the gift shop for $2.50 each. …
