Mid America Motorworks is a definite must-see if you're passing through Effingham, especially if you're a Corvette or Volkswagen enthusiast! The staff is super friendly as well.

This is a small museum (FREE!) which has auto memoriablia, corvettes and Volkswagens. Items were offered for sale and some were vintage. Some freebie posters were available and if you made a donation to the museum you were allowed to select a pin. The museum décor was very well done.

This is a fantastic event for any Corvette lover ..... but MidAmerica is an interesting facility for any car owner .... Mike & Laurie Yager are extremely gracious hosts & all their staff share that philosophy.

Stop by and check out the automotive memorabilia if you are in the vicinity of Effingham. There are some really nice cars in this corvette collection.

Have visited this collection numerous times and it just gets better and better. Mike Yeager collects limited edition and high end Corvettes and memorabilia so much of what a visitor sees is one of a kind or very rare. If you want to see a collection of nicely preserved street driven Corvettes, this is not that type of collection. He... More

We made a Sunday appointment to visit the museum and the owners went above and beyond to share their knowledge and collection of cars. The collection is in the same space as the retail store and includes lots of corvette memorabilia. Smaller collection, but wow, some very nice cars on display including the history of each vehicle.

We load up our Vette and take a road trip every year and had never been to Mid America Motorworks. After having previously visited the National Corvette Museum we decided it was time to visit Effingham. The facility is very large and has many buildings and places for photo ops. The retail store "My Garage" contains the free museum as... More

My husband and I made a stop here and we're glad we did. A nice smaller collection of corvettes along with a gift shop selling corvette related items. Nice building and cars and entry is free. Great place to check out if your in the area and love cars or more specifically, corvettes.
