Busse Woods has a great bike/hiking trail with beautiful surrounds. There are lakes and all kinds of wildlife as a backdrop.

It is a 7 mile bike ride. Be prepared for a long ride. The trail is well marked and paved. There are parking lots in between so you do not have to do the entire ride if you choose not to

The bike trails are great and also good for walking. Nice forest views and they also have an Elk area for the kids to enjoy.

I often ride my bike to the Busse Woods bike trail. It is all asphalt and an easy ride for experienced bicyclists as well as families that want to take a nice ride together. The sites are nice and you can stop along the way...More

Maybe better since far less congested. Lake and forest views are wonderful. Well maintained trails Pleasant people. Lots of space You would never know you are in the middle of suburbia.

It is approximately halfway through the woods on Higgins Ave. North of Higgins. Go to the Forest Preserve District of Cook County website: fpdcc. Here is a link to a map: downloads/maps/pdf/bw_trailmap.pdf
