Did the circular walk about 3.5 miles today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The walk is very easy to do. The walk has it all, woods, river, old mill workings, viaduct etc. and the views are amazing. Thoroughly enjoyable and would recommend.

After stumbling into the valley whilst navigating to our B&B we drive under the viaduct. So in awe we came back the next day to have a longer exploration. No wonder this is World Heritage status as a must see piece of engineering & architecture.

Luxulyan Valley is a great place for a walk along the valley by the side of the river and across the viaduct that crosses the railway line to Newquay. The valley is well hidden along typical Cornwall country lanes. If you are stopping in Luxulyan...More

Lovely visit with my husband, very quiet and peaceful. Situated in thick woodland with a tranquil stream, it's the perfect location for a stroll...even in the rain. You can even venture to the top of the viaduct and see into the valley and the rail...More

Lovely walk. Very peaceful. A bit sticky today but plenty of shade from the trees which would also give protection from the wet stuff. Lots of stick throwing and the occasional dip in the river for the dog.

Majestic viaduct in a beautiful valley. Lovely place for a quiet walk. Such a shame the water no longer flows over the viaduct & over the waterwheel but the whole area has an atmospheric beauty allowing you to imagine a time gone by.

Went for a stroll in this beautiful area. Lovely trails in the woods. The viaduct is stunning from the top AND underneath- such engineering! The waterwheel is so interesting too. We are planning another walk down to the bottom areas very soon. Be careful on...More

A magical other world feeling, soulful and peaceful, interesting and has energies. The structure itself is incredible. Great for walks, picnics, paddling in stream. Good Sunday after lunch location

Did a circular walk. The woodland walk was easy along tram ways and good paths, consequently relatively level. Loads of industrial archaeology for added interest including the impressive Treffry Viaduct and massive water wheel pit. A world heritage site. A quiet place away from the...More
