Great Place to Catch a Show

Great place to capture a show! My wife and I have seen comedians, bands, and plays here. It is a very beautiful theater.

Beautiful theater - built in 20's, seats are very narrow and will not comfortably fit anyone who is not smallish in shape

Love visiting the Rialto. It's such a beautiful and historical place to visit. Even seeing the lady in white was quite an experience!

So many great have entertained at this beautiful and architectural Theatre. It was wonderful to see this amazing place as an adult. Seeing as the last time was as a child. Yet the magic awe and wonder were still so prevalent as an adult. I couldn't keep my eyes from roaming from the wonderful stage and act to the amazing... More

Great location. Parking was easy at the bank lot south of the Rialto (on Sunday). A "live" family holiday event for our grandkids. Christmas decor and lighting provided many photo ops pre and post show. This theater provided a fantastic vehicle to present a live performance.

The Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet, IL is a gem. This beautiful theatre began life as a movie palace with a gorgeous pipe organ and hosted Vaudeville stage acts. Today the Rialto is big enough to attract big names and host private events year round. But it is small enough that every seat is close to the stage. Tickets... More

Went to see the "Hit Men". The show was incredible! Playing in a nostalgic surrounding was impressive.

As a part of our Route 66 tour, our tour group of about 35 visited the Rialto Theater on Sept. 8th of this year. What a gorgeous theater! We enjoyed a guided tour of this gem which was originally a vaudeville movie palace. Beautiful chandeliers and other details fill this beautiful theater. We were provided with a delicious lunch after... More

Unfortunately, the main building was closed when we visited. However, the vestibule/foyer area was open and is well worth seeing. The outside is also very attractive so we did not count the trip as wasted - especially as we lunched at the nearby Route 66 Diner (good food/friendly staff/inexpensive).
