A must stop in but leave your wallet in the car. I found prices to be high in the store. I didn't go in the Museum after spending time in the store I believe you would do a better volume if you lower the price to 1.00 for the tour more people would pass through those gates

If you are a Superman Fan, this might be your cup of tea. We stopped here on our bus trip and were given the choice to go through or look at other things. Since hubby and I have both watched Superman television shows as well as the movies, we thought this would be a nice experience. It was adequate. There... More

Somewhat small storefront museum with a surprisingly decent collection of memorabilia and merchandise. The memorabilia is largely Superman related in all its forms the merchandise covering a wider range of superheros and sci-fi. Very close to the large Superman statue in town and only 5 bucks to visit. If you are on the interstate 24 near southern Illinois and a... More

If you are a fan of the DC universe and Superman in general this is the place for you. The museum is wall to wall superman. from relics from the movies and tv shows to a boat load of superman collectibles. While taking 57 north, we took a detour to Metropolis, IL. We saw the Superman statue, and the Super Museum and Gift Shop. The museum is a nice collection of memorabilia and nostalgia about the man of steel. The gift shop is a bit broader, and includes souvenirs and collectibles from other superheroes (and some Star Wars merch). There were... More

If you are a Superman fan or old Hollywood fan you should not miss this. Take a break from driving for this short side trip and have some fun in Superman's hometown!

If you are traveling on I-24 from Illinois or Kentucky or vise versa, and you have some time to kill or just need to stretch your legs, the Superman Museum in Metropolis is a great place to stop. This attraction includes a 15 ft. tall bronze statue of Superman, a museum with Superman memorabilia stretching from the very beginning of... More

If you came all the way to Metropolis, IL for the Superman Statue, you must as well come inside to see the Super Museum! There's two parts to this place.. the retail side where one can buy Superman paraphernalia and the museum part which is $5 per entry. If you are not a Superman fan then you can skip the... More
