This reserve may be classed as an accessible, suburban one, given its proximity to Llandudno and Conwy. It has a mixture of habitats (estuarine, freshwater and scrub) and supports a good variety of birdlife. It is usual to see between 30 and 40 species. It...More

Visited here whilst on holiday in the area. Well spent £5. Friendly staff, good souvenir shop, informative, nice cafe. Good overall size, well laid out hides (great for the rainy day we had) and viewing screens. Hope to return again, with some sunshine!

Lovely spot for a bit of rustic fun with the kids. We’re not avid bird watchers but you don’t need to be - it’s worth a run around as a nature reserve for the kids if you’ve got outdoorsy types on your hands and would...More

Always a pleasure to stop off here on our way to Anglesey. Welcoming volunteers in reception and lots of gift ideas in the shop as well as bird food and feeders etc. - and always an interesting selection of birds on view.

We've been visiting this reserve for more than 17 years and love to see how it has developed. The wildlife which changes with the seasons is a pleasure to view from the many hides and from the seats along the estuary. Would recommend anyone, young...More

We walked to the Reserve from Conwy and having paid our entrance charges initially had a drink before setting off. It was apparent from the guide that we wouldn't be walking right around the lake having walked from Conwy so we tried to follow the...More

Really enjoyed my first visit to the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve which is just off the A55. The entrance and shop are welcoming with plenty of information on what birds have been spotted in the last day or so. It's a shame that the traffic...More

Hi Stephen, no we don't permit scooters or bikes on the reserve trails - it's feet only, except for wheelchairs and prams/pushchairs. We look forward to seeing you at the nature reserve soon.
