This is a great place to take the family for a day event. Learn about Naperville, history and they always have special events going on. You can also rent some of the buildings out for small events and get married at the chapel.

Naper Settlement is a realistic and wonderful outdoor museum, with many buildings exhibiting crafts and various events throughout the year. It's a great place to take the family, or just for a couple to enjoy. In downtown Naperville, near the River Walk.

What a great place to take a step back in time. If is an actual settlement from the 1800 you can walk around. They have several events throughout the year. They just had a Christmas Walk that was really cool. Halloween is also a great time to visit. Plus your steps away from the Riverwalk that also has plenty to... More

I'm only reviewing the museum portion of the settlement, but there are also several events here over the course of the year that are worth attending. The museum is smaller than something like a Living History Farms in Des Moines but is modeled in a similar manner. It can all be experienced in one day easily. Make sure you check... More

Naper Settlement hit one out of the ball park with the Christkindl Market this past December. The Naper Lights added greatly to the nighttime experience. Naper Settlement is truly an all season attraction. The Native American pow wow and Civil War days are other examples of the rich historical events which supplement the every day historical attractions.

A great place for the entire family. Special events are well thought out and all of the buildings hold points of knowledge and facts. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Great Gift Shop.

They also offer tours of the Mansion, a great Museum, and beautiful grounds to walk around. They also did an exceptional job in creating the new children play for area which has a water feature... It is one thing to see local history. At Naper Settlement you are immersed in it. Costumed interpreters in period clothing portray historical characters and answer all of your questions. There are living history programs for school groups and Scouts. Time your trip for a special event like Spring Fever, Civil War Days, Oktoberfest, or All Hallows Eve if you... More
