It was nice not to have to drive downtown for this experience, we found free parking on a side street. I would recommend going early before it gets crowded. We had the potatoe pancakes and hot chocolate. We were lucky enough to find a seat in one of the beer tents to eat (where it was toasty warm)

We visited the Naper Settlement at night for the Christkindlmarket, so my review applies more to this specific event being held there than the settlement itself. It was a cute little set up and you could see some of the buildings that were part of Naper Settlement. The market was not set up great (for a Saturday night) and was... More

This is the first year the Christkindlmarket has been in Naperville and I loved not having to drive downtown for this great activity. They recreated the booths for vendors to replicate what they have downtown and added two large warming tents where you can go to sit and eat/drink. The food was very good! If you share, you can experience... More

We went for the Christmas market, a horrible disappointment as it was so congested you could hardly move. Very poorly planned. We strolled the settlement to escape bumping constantly into people, strollers (people don't seem to realize they are ramming people's legs with their babies chariots). We could only visit limited open buildings but would enjoy another visit perhaps in... More

The Holiday Market at Naper Settlement is a must when visiting Downtown Naperville this season. The cinnamon pecans are wonderful.

There are a number of old buildings that make up the Naper Settlement. I took my camera and a model and got great pictures. You really sense a different era in nthe Naper Settlement.

I am a member of Naper Settlement so I can enjoy the summer concerts, wine and beer festivals, Hallows Eve over Halloween, and now Kindle Market is coming this year! Its a beautiful property and there is a lot of history there too.

We had relatives in from overseas and thought this would be a great place to bring them. The town is set up as if it's the 1800s. They have a school, a printer, a doctor and everything you might have in that time period. In the basement of the main building there is a lot of information about Naperville and... More

The Naper settlement is a must see if you are near Chicago,Il. It is a suburb of Chicago. The river walk is beautiful, and Ted's Montana Grill is a wonderful place to eat!

We love going to Naper Settlement. Alot of people think that it only runs special events. It does that (wonderfully!!!), but it also is an historic recreation site, with plenty of great historical information that help you understand how the world looked back in the 1800's. We've taken our kids here in the past and now take our grandkids. So... More
