OPPL is a gold mine. Great place to relax and browse the thousands of books, CDs, and DVDs. They have a whole section (almost the whole floor) dedicated to children materials. You can use the private meeting rooms and or sit by the fire in their reading room. They even have a private room dedicated to Ernest Hemingway! (He was... More

3 floors of books and art. Great family area on the first floor with good kid books and reading areas. I love the promotional reading challenges they do in the summer. So many great places to read also. It is a beautiful building and an excellent local library.

Of course I love it! Architecturally significant building, like something in the Pacific Northwest. Great views. Great books, films.

This library is huge. They always have something going on for the community. The staff is always extremely helpful and pleasant. It is fairly quiet. I popped in one day with my grandson and was able to join a dance class they were having. It's great for everyone. Also, it is right next to Scoville Park. It's in the center... More

I use our library quite frequently. I generally enjoy my visits, but have noticed a trend over the past several months of children with and without parents that congregate, chase, and are a bit unruly for a library. I understand that libraries have children's programs, and I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about parents who bring their children, then... More

Our son was proud to show us the Oak Park Library in his neighborhood. The building is very accommodating to visitors. Easy access with many amenities for book & media use. Reading areas, computer stations & small rooms to have a discussion with fellow readers or friends. The staff was friendly & helpful.
