This isnt the worlds biggest botanical center; but for the QC area I think its rather good. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and can give you highlights of what's in bloom when you visit. We took our grandkids. Great place to spend a cold winter day. The sand pile was a treat for them and they love to feed the fish.

Enormous botanicals, lovely Koi ponds, outdoor gardens are all fun to stroll through. They hold a pixie princess day every year to take your little ones too for pixie treats and craft events. My granddaughters loved it.

We were there in the Fall and the flowers were done blooming. I am sure in the spring, summer there would be more varieties to see.

Right next to the Mississippi river near the Arsenal bridge in Rock Island is a gem of botanical variety. Indoor and outdoor gardens house a wide variety of plants. The children's garden has water features and activities for kids. Great spot for weddings and receptions.

They frequently have kids days where there are added crafts or activities for little kids. They recently added an outdoor kid activity area that had a mock river for them to splash around in. My daughter had a blast since it was hot out that day.

The staff was very helpful and kind. It was $5 to go in. You get a map and then get to explore. If you sweat easily, don't go on a warmer day, it gets steamy in the main house.

We took our two young grandkids and we all loved the flowers at this place. They have a tropical garden, a butterfly garden, kids garden and a couple of others. Be sure to have the kids check out the obstacle course, and the Mississippi mock up. It was a hot day the kids loved walking in the "river". They have... More

Oops - just drove by and looked at all the beautiful flowers. Would love to take a tour sometime if we had been there earlier. I am sure the inside is very impressive.

We went for the first time on a Sunday early afternoon and surprisingly practically had the place to ourselves! We took our 6 year old daughter who loved feeding the koi & turtle in the koi pond and looking at all of the different flowers & plants. The kids garden is amazing, with a long "river" that my daughter walked... More
