Fantastic views across Windermere. Cool little spot with a cafe just down the track. Very historic ruin with views across the lake. Nice little walk from the car park at ash landing.

Claire viewing station has great views over the lake, when we arrived it was late so cafe was closed. A good place for views.

Really pleased we found this little place as been visiting the Lakes for years and never knew it was there . Lovely scenic place and so worth a visit , the stain glass makes it so different .

So glad we visited here, views not amazing but a lovely spot. just loved the stained glass window, not busy either, pretty much had to ourselves. Nice that is was free, not much is these days. Nice little café too and plenty lovely walking around...More

Thanks for visiting Claife Viewing Station, it sounds like you a lovely time! There are countless walks along the west shore of Windermere. Why not pop back and walk to Hill Top or Wray Castle?

We walked down to here as it was close to our B and B. The views were lovely. Defiantly worth a visit if you are near by.

The viewing station is a few minutes walk from the ferry and it's a short climb up the hill. I had my luggage with me so it took a bit longer, but from the ferry to the station it's about 10-15 minutes total. The place...More

We were passing by on our bikes. Stopped for some advice and a drink. Lovely little cafe with delicious food. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will return.

It is an old hall, that had started to crumble. The National Trust have repaired it. It is outdoors and open all year and free. There is a National Trust car park about 5 mins walk from it too. Hope this helps
