Beautiful walk.

One of the nicest nature centers I have been to. A lot of wildlife (cranes, otter, ducks) and beautiful paths both paved and unpaved.

Came here one morning and did a hike around the ground. It's very nice and quiet (except for the numerous school kids), and as it is free it must be a nice area to go for a walk now and then. The historical farm area was also nice, but here I actually had expected more given the earlier reviews. However it... More

There was a good amount of central attractions one could see (a log cabin, a farm, etc.) but it was a little annoying that you had to travel down a winding path of just wheat colored tall grass to get to them. It became boring to look at. It also not a direct path; the path will twist and turn... More

I had the pleasure of exploring Spring Valley early on a Sunday Morning. I started off at the farm, and could have spent all day there admiring the animals and the farm. The volunteers are more than accommodating to your every request and/or question. This place needs a whole day to visit properly. Photo opportunities everywhere you look!

We are residents of Bloomingdale and are continuously disappointed by this pool. Our most recent example: They brought out boats for kids to try- although they never announced what it was for and for whom.......we had to ask a life guard to explain the event. 15 minutes before the event was supposed to end my four year old daughter finally... I grew up coming here as a kid, and even in high school volunteered here. Now that I've flown the nest my father still helps out with the animals too! Great historic working farm in the middle of suburbia. Tons of paths to wander on a quiet day

This is such a great place in Schaumburg. If you want to go for a walk in a peaceful surrounding this is the right place. It is tranquil. The farm is a little treasure from the 1880s. I really love the idea showing life on a farm back then. I recommend this place for families, you can see farm animals, a... More

This place, combined with the adjacent historic farm, is a treasure considering it is very close to Woodfield

My boys grew up at Spring Valley nature center with summer camps, nature lectures, maple syrup festivals, Halloween happenings, and hiking. Now they are seventeen and want to volunteer because they still have great times at the center. Located in Schaumburg, IL and supported by the community and the park district, the nature center is getting better every year, look... More
