Sculpture my weekend
Nov. 2020
Came here for a birthday walk with our son and future daughter in law. It was way better than anticipated. A long narrow park with a nice paved path. Very easy walking. Tons of interesting sculpture. It was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon!

Nice clean park with statues
May 2020 • Couples
We went for a walk through the park and really enjoyed it. We had been cooped up inside during the pandemic and this was a nice open air park to visit as things are starting to reopen. Statues were nice and varied. The park was very clean with porta-potty’s. There were also a few picnic tables and benches.

Nice place to walk
Nov. 2019 • Solo
Nice place to walk or bike. Be careful of the people on bikes. Nice place to take the grandkids for a walk so they can blow off some energy

Visiting Skokie
Dec. 2018
It is a nice place to walk and enjoy the arts and fresh air from the park. Personally I prefer the botanical garden better.

My Walk Thru SNSP.
Jun. 2019
After donating blood I visited the SNSP just a couple of blocks away. I have biked thru the park on 2 previous visits to Evanston, Illinois. The park is locared on the east side of Skokie adjacent to the north channel of the Chicago River and Evanston, Illinois. Its a narrow 2 mile long grassy level expanse with an international flag display, memorial plaques and 60 sculptures from local, national & international renown artists. The asphalt path is used by walkers, joggers & bicyclists. Views of the river are limited but available from the sidewalks at Church & Main Sts. There is free parking off of McCormick Blvd. The park has several benches and many shade trees. It is nearly litter free and nicely maintained except for some deep ruts adjacent to path caused from service/maintance vehicles in the soft soil from recent numerous rains.

Sculpture park walk
Dec. 2018 • Friends
Currently thw two most northern sections are without sculptures and there is construction equipment and paving issues also. Some of the sculptures need artist attention and or repair. Hopefully all will be restored by spring or summer 2019. Still a worthy walk of 3-4 miles .

Surprising Open-air art

There are several parking lots, but we parked at C and walked south for a couple of blocks. We intend to return and walk through other sections further north.

A fun walk, bike ride, or tour on select days
Aug. 2018 • Family
This sculpture park is right along a busy street with a nice walking or biking path. It runs along the NorthShore canal, that connects the Chicago river and Lake Michigan. You can often see kayak teams practicing and herons, cranes and other birds as you walk along the path. The sculptures are varied, interesting and a great diversion from the traffic rent kayaks on Oakton Ave.
