The only thing missing here was James Arnett and Festus and Miss Kitty. An old west town totally unexpected in North Carolina. No cars allowed here- only horses -I am serious- dirt roads and realistic saloons. Great heartland meals like catfish, brisket, BBQ, Carp fries,...More

We stopped during the early morning (10am) and it was a ghost town. It was a bit creepy but the few folks we met were pleasant.

This is a trail riding mecca for many people, but it's rather rough. The best way to describe it is "Sturgis for horses". Many folks go there to drink more than ride. The little western town area is quaint and worth a look, but it's...More

We visited Love Valley as part of our tour. We were more than disappointed. No one was home! The shops were all closed. The place was rundown and it seemed as though every other building was For Sale. Could not recommend this to anyone.
