The drive here is harrowing and the cliffs are so bloody high! Amazing! It was not puffin season but still worth it for the views from the cliffs.

We absolutely loved these cliffs, but they certainly aren't easy to get to. Plan on 4+ hours there and back to civilization if you're staying inland of the Westfjords. We didn't see any puffins, which was disappointing, but the landscape is breathtaking. Don't fall off...More

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Iceland. One of our "must dos" was to visit this cliff and hopefully see the puffins. I have to admit that to get here isn't the easiest. You have to take a dirty road that...More

Our trip to Iceland was in late October, nonetheless we decided to make the trek over to Latrabjarg cliffs. Basing ourselves in Isafjördur, the journey took an entire day there and back. The driving conditions are unfavourable for the most part, with long winding roads...More

It's a nice place to visit during the summers when puffins are still calling the cliff their home. By September middle it is cold and super windy. The drive to the cliffs is painful since the roads are not paved. It's a nice place to...More

We came quite a distance specifically to see nesting puffins, but by August 20th they had already gone. Definitely come here if you are into birdwatching, but try to come between May-July for best puffin viewing. And stay away from the edge of the cliffs....More

We visited the Latrabjarg Cliffs during our drive around Iceland's Ring Road and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. This location has magnificent cliffs dropping directly into the sea with lots of wave action added as a bonus....More

The Latrabjarg Cliffs are beautiful to visit (a real must see!) but only with good weather. When it's raining it's nothing and I think it's even dangerous. The bird life is beautiful and very well approachable. Use the right photo equipment for great photos. A...More

The drive there was a thrill, maybe a bit more than that in some parts of the road (road #62). We arrived at the Latrabjarg cliff late evening and the number of birds at that time was extremely high. The views are great and there...More
