Such a cool place! Just a great experience and sight to see! Was able to get some great photos and had fun walking around the beach and checking out all the glacier chunks! Just be careful of the Sneaker Waves...they seriously come up much further...More

This beach was even more beautiful than the pictures I had seen. And even though it’s a popular tourist stop, it’s still easy to take pictures without strangers. Also, there’s no fee for either beach access or parking. Just dress warmly, as our friend stayed...More

One of the best and unique experiences of my Iceland visit. If you are a photographer planning to get close the ice, plan on getting some rubber boots.

Quite possibly the most beautiful location in all of Iceland! This is a photographer’s dream location. The ice blocks on the black volcanic sand make for a great photo. Be sure to plan accordingly because Jokulsárlon is a very far drive from Reykjavík. While it’s...More

You can easily fill up your sim card here, but the dramatic view of icebergs floating out in to the ocean crashing into each other is unlike anywhere else in the world.

Beautiful place with ice formations all over the beach and lagoon. Make sure to dress properly as you will get cold soon.

Had not looked into this destination at all (my fellow travelers did) and was quite surprised to see the "diamonds" on the black sand. The contrast was incredible and unexpected - sort of a "have to see it" as I am not sure pictures do...More

We stopped here after our ice cave tour. Simple drive or walk across the street. I suggest first walking to the beach on the south side of the canal and then driving over to the north side. When we were there they were both beautiful...More

You can spend hours walking on the beach looking at the icebergs and ice formations. As well as the ability to climb on real icebergs landing on the beach. NOT TO BE MISSED!

Hi No, if you only want to see the Diamond Beach it is not worth it as worst case there are no ice cubes on the beach. But if you consider just on the other side of the bridge (150m), there you have a very nice view onto the... More

Definitely make the trip. The beach is not so much worth the trip as it is a black sand beach with broken chunks of ice. In the winter it might be much better that other times of year. However, the lagoon just across the... More

Honestly, both are nice. And you can visit both, as they are super close to each other. I spent about 30 minutes on the beach and got so many amazing photos. It is just beautiful.
